Course Path Recommendation
This is part 2 in a series of 3 online courses that cover Electrical Theory. In this series, topics are introduced in an order that builds on the skills you’ve developed throughout the program and it’s recommended to complete the courses in the following order:

    1. Electrical Fundamentals and Basic Electricity
    2. Electrical Circuits Systems and Protection
    3. Alternating Current Motors Generators and Transformers

This 8-hour course is based on Mike Holt’s “Illustrated Guide to Basic Electrical Theory” textbook. This course includes examples, authors comments, and hundreds of detailed full-color graphics that support difficult concepts, facilitate understanding, and help apply those concepts to real-world situations.

Electrical Circuits, Systems and Protection teaches students everything they need to know about how electricity behaves. Starting from the basic scientific principles, it explains the following systems, circuits, and devices:

  • Parallel Circuits
  • Multiwire Circuits
  • Electrical Systems
  • Protection Devices

To receive credit for this course you must:
  • Complete this course within 90 days.
  • Complete the online Exams. No partial credit will be given.
  • Attain an overall average grade of at least 75%.

You will not be notified when your self-paced course is about to expire, and it is your responsibility to keep track of your course expiration/due date. The course tuition is not refundable or transferable.
