ADVANCED COURSE – NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ELECTRICIAN TRAINEES
ADVANCED COURSE – JOURNEYMEN SHOULD HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF MOTOR CONTROLS BEFORE TAKING THIS COURSE.

Please note that the electrical troubleshooting software programs are not compatible with Apple products or any mobile devices

Build the skills to troubleshoot complex industrial control systems on a realistic fluid processing system simulation.

In this advanced program, troubleshoot complex malfunctions on this realistic simulation of an industrial process for mixing and processing fluids. The system uses 480 volts AC three-phase and contains a variety of industrial components such as pumps, agitators, heaters, temperature and float switches, relays, and timers.

With many types of defects you will get practice troubleshooting a wide range of potential problems. The typical types of failures you will encounter in this simulation include:
  • Opens in components or wiring.
  • Opens in components or wiring.
  • Defects in component mechanisms.
  • Overloaded and defective three-phase motors and protective equipment.
  • Opens and shorts in three-phase circuits.
  • Defective mechanical components.

The tuition for this course also includes access to a Troubleshooting Electrical Circuits Module. It is highly recommended that you complete the Electrical Circuits Module first, before starting the Industrial Controls Program. The Electrical Circuits Module is a preparatory course that will prepare you for the Industrial Controls Program.

Print and submit your certificate of completion to WECA to receive 32 hours of continuing education course credit.

The tuition for this course includes 1 year of access to the online Troubleshooting Industrial Controls software used in the course. Log on instructions will be sent by the preferred method of contact chosen during the class registration process. Please allow one business day for order processing and access to the course.

All course hours must be completed within 90 days of purchase to receive credit. You will not be notified when your self-paced course is about to expire, and it is your responsibility to keep track of your course expiration/due date.

The course tuition is not refundable or transferable.
