Description:
Electrical Troubleshooting Skills Series V4

ADVANCED COURSE – NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ELECTRICIAN TRAINEES

Recommended Prerequisite for Journeymen: Motor Controls Experience

Please note that the electrical troubleshooting software programs are not compatible with Apple products or any mobile devices

This program is designed for electricians who have thorough knowledge of electrical theory and print reading and are experienced in the proper use of meters. The three (3) Troubleshooting Simulation courses start at a basic level and progress in complexity of troubleshooting tasks to build critical thinking skills. It is appropriate for journeyman level students. Electrician Trainees (or Journeymen seeking more assistance with these concepts) should instead enroll in GET WIRED! 402, which includes these simulation programs, with instructor-led discussions of troubleshooting practices and answers to student questions.

Learn and practice proven techniques for effective electrical troubleshooting with Troubleshooting Skills Series V4

Become a better Troubleshooter:
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting activities just like on real equipment
  • More than multiple faults to solve on 2 realistic simulations
  • Develop your skill with a practical hands-on approach
  • Benefit from the skills of expert troubleshooters as you are "guided" through sample faults
  • See your Troubleshooting Score
  • Review your troubleshooting approach by viewing detailed reports

These courses contain easy to use simulations that allow you to operate the circuit, take meter readings, remove wires, replace components and other troubleshooting activities. You are tested on time and materials used to troubleshoot faults effectively in each of the following courses:

  • Troubleshooting – Electrical Circuits
  • Troubleshooting – Motor Circuits
  • Troubleshooting – Control Circuits

Print and submit each certificate of completion to WECA for each course section to receive 32 hours of continuing education course credit. Please Note: Partial credit will not be given. You must complete the entire course to receive credit.

The tuition for this course includes 1 year of access to the Electrical Troubleshooting software used in the course. Log on instructions will be sent by the preferred method of contact chosen during the class registration process. Please allow one business day for order processing and access to the course.
