For Your Journeymen and Electrician Trainees: Basic Motor Controls Part 1 & 2, Both in Rancho Cordov

Help your employees get hands-on experience building control circuits for motors as they learn the basics of Motor Controls.
 
Recommended prerequisites for Electrician Trainees: GET WIRED! 100 & 200 Series, 301, and 302 are strongly advised.
 
In this lab-based course, Basic Motor Controls Part 1, Electrician Trainees and Journeyman Continuing Education Students will learn about and gain experience with:

  • The parts and components of a motor circuit
  • Manual control, automatic control and control logic
  • Motor control line - ladder diagrams
  • Local Start / Stop Station
  • Multiple Start / Stop Stations
  • Using Selector Switches & Pilot Devices
  • Reversing circuits
Learn more about and enroll in a Basic Motor Controls, Part 1 course starting July 21, 2018
Your choice of Rancho Cordova or San Diego
 
This course is worth 16 hours of continuing education or electrician trainee credit. 
 

Additionally, help your employees build on what they learned in Basic Motor Controls, Part 1 by getting further hands-on experience building control circuits for motors. 

Recommended prerequisite for Electrician Trainees include: GET WIRED! 100 & 200 Series, 301, 302, 401, and BMC 1.

In the lab-based course, Basic Motor Controls, Part 2, your Electrician Trainees and Journeymen will learn about and gain experience with: 
  • Sequential starting of multiple motors
  • Control relays and their common applications
  • Timers and timing logic, for example, on delay, off delay, etc.
