Our thoughts are with all those affected by the wildfires in California. Please note the following accommodations for those affected by wildfire evacuations, as well as those who miss a scheduled online class due to a public utility power shutoff. 

For Electrician Trainees, Journeyperson Continuing Education students, and General Students affected by wildfires and evacuation orders:
 
WECA will accommodate course make-up requests for currently-enrolled Electrician Trainees, Journeyperson continuing education students, and general students; or course transfers with associated course transfer fees waived; for those affected by wildfire evacuations. Please contact WECA at 877-444-9322 to get started.

For Electrician Trainees, Journeyperson Continuing Education students, and General Students affected by utility power shutoffs:

WECA will still be running all scheduled GetWired! webcasts, GetWired! online labs, Live Online 2-Day Exam Prep Classes, and all other instructor-led online class instances at this time. Students should plan to attend class as normal. 
 
Students who are unable to attend a scheduled webcast due to a power shutoff, and who cannot attend the class instance from an alternate remote location (which is encouraged), can contact WECA to arrange a class make-up or submit a make-up request through their eCampus class home page. WECA will cross-check the student's address with outage maps or otherwise request proof of the outage before accommodating the make-up.
 
Please watch your email closely for further updates from WECA; if the power shutdown maps are expanded, classes may be further affected.

For Apprentices affected by wildfires and evacuation orders or public utility power shutoffs:

If you are affected by a wildfire evacuation, or a public utility power shutoff causes you to miss part of an online apprenticeship class, please contact WECA at 877-444-9322 and we'll work with you to determine a resolution for your situation.
