Spotlight on GetWired 102 and GetWired 103, the second and third courses in the path to the WECA Electrician Trainee Program Certificate

GetWired 102: Introduction to the Basic Installation of Lighting Fixtures and Branch Circuits, is the third course in the path to an Electrician Trainee Program Certificate with WECA.

?This 42-hour course expands on the theories and applications taught in our 101 courses. Core competencies include: GFCI and AFCI; series circuits; parallel circuits; luminaries, fixtures, ballasts and lamps; NEC subject indexing; lighting branch circuits; combination circuits; measuring instruments; using wire tables and determining conductor sizes; and combined lighting circuits.

This instructor-led version of GetWired 102 is loaded with hands-on practice activities during an onsite lab day to ensure that skills covered in class can be applied on-the-job.

GetWired 103: Continuation of Lighting Branch Circuits & Introduction to Special Purpose Outlets, is the third course in the path to an Electrician Trainee Program Certificate with WECA.

?This 42-hour course expands on the theories and applications taught in our 101 and 102 courses. Course competencies include: conduction in liquid and gases, batteries and other sources of electricity, inrush current, voltage drop and use of Ohm’s Law in calculating basic measurements, sizing junction boxes, box fill and conduit layout, water heater, water pump circuit calculations, calculate overcurrent protection, special purpose outlets, NEMA receptacle plug configuration, and selection of wiring devices.

This course expands your electrical skills and knowledge in the areas listed above through a series of lab and practice activities.
