The 2014 Code Changes program highlights the most important changes students need to know for the new Code Cycle. This course will clearly explain the significant changes found in Articles 90-820 of the NEC. Full-color illustrations to help you visualize the change and safety requirements in practical use. You will review author’s comments & analysis, cautions regarding possible conflict or confusing NEC requirements, tips on proper electrical installations, and warnings of dangers related to improper electrical installations.
Grounding is the most important and least understood topic in the NEC®, and surveys have repeatedly shown that the majority of electrical shocks and power quality problems are due to improper grounding or bonding. The illustrations in this course help the student see the safety requirements of the NEC® in practical use, as they apply to today’s electrical installations. This program identifies all areas of the code from Articles 90 through Articles 820 that specifically address Grounding and Bonding. The objective of this program is to teach electrical professionals the safe and correct techniques in electrical installations in compliance with the NEC® to increase the safety of this industry. The material is presented in a direct and straightforward style which has been the cornerstone of Mike Holt products and has made him so effective in helping students learn. The course is structured so that immediately after each section, the students are tested on their ability to understand that section and apply it.
Topics in this course are covered in relation to the 2014 Edition of the National Electric Code (NEC) requirements. A 2014 NEC Code Book is required when taking this course.
