Job Costs and Estimating Basics (16 hour course)

Job Costs and Estimating Basics is a hybrid online instructor-led, self-paced introduction to estimating job costs, materials and lab labor for electrical installations. After your initial class meeting with an instructor, you’ll work on your own and complete self-paced assignments for small jobs, Low Voltage tenant improvements, and a job takeover estimate. This course is the 4th of 5 in the Project Engineer to Project Manager (PE to PM) Path for non-electrician construction professionals.

This course is not recommended for students who have taken or will take the Get Wired! 200 series of courses (for instance, if pursuing the Electrician Trainee Program Certificate).

A 2017 National Electrical Codebook is required for this course. See the course textbook list for purchase and rental options.

You must complete all assignments by the course deadline to earn credit for this course. Partial credit for Job Costs and Estimating Basics will not be given.
