Honorary Member Contractor Neuffer Electricamember since 1946is one such example.Founded in Mount Shasta, California, in 1925, NeufferElectric joined the National Electrical ContractorsAssociation (NECA)the precursor to WECAin 1946 as oneof its first Member Contractors. Like many of our otherMember Contractors, Neuffer Electric was a family businessstarted by a father and handed down to his son, who thenhanded it down to his son. That grandson, Jim Neuffer,joined the family business in 1977 and helmed it until hisretirement earlier this year. Neuffer additionally served onthe WECA Board of Directors from 1993 through 2004, andgenerously gave his time and steadfast support to WECAand its various committees over the years.Even though I have been involved with the company since1977, it is really my father who should get all therecognition for all he did with respect to helping WECAbreak away from NECA, said Neuffer.
