Janaya Orejel has been a part of the WECA team for five years now! 

She currently works as an administrative assistant, and came to WECA with an Associate Degree in Business Administration from American River College. You may see her in the front lobby at WECA HQ or hear her voice on the phone, as she frequently assists students, interested applicants, member contractors, and staff members. She primarily works on providing document assistance, helping with class enrollments, and utilizing her extensive knowledge of all things WECA to provide answers to the WECA community. 

Janaya truly does it all! She says, "A typical day at WECA never looks the same for me! One day can be calm, and the next day I will be particularly busy and have a plethora of visitors to assist." She loves being the face of WECA HQ, adding, "What keeps me engaged in the work is the feeling I get after being told by a student or member how I made their experience at WECA a great one."

Janaya was raised in Sacramento with her two older brothers, and typically spends her non-WECA hours travelling, bike riding with her dad, and spending time with family.
