WECA Utah Class of 2025 Salutatorian Bannon Weaver Spotlight

WECA congratulates Bannon Weaver, WECA Utah Class of 2025 and an employee of WECA Member Contractor Hunt Electric, on his achievement in earning the designation of Salutatorian of his class. Bannon’s discipline and desire to learn propelled him to success as the Salutatorian of this year’s graduating class.

“WECA and on-the-job training helped shape my work habits and mindset,” said Bannon. “I developed strong problem-solving and time management skills, and muscle memory. I also learned how to adapt to the challenges of the trade and communicate effectively with different teams on the jobsite.”

Bannon’s success can also be attributed to asking questions when he didn’t understand the material and seeking extra help after class when he needed more practice.

Bannon advises current and future WECA apprentices to stay engaged.

“If you don’t understand something, speak up. Participating in class discussions and asking questions helped me retain information far better than staying silent. The more involved you are, the more you’ll get out of the program,” advised Bannon.

After graduation, Bannon plans to continue growing in the trade.

“I want to take on more responsibility, work toward lead roles, and eventually gain a deeper understanding of the business side of electrical work, including financials and behind-the-scenes problem solving. My long-term goal is to be a well-rounded leader in the industry,” said Bannon.

Congratulations, Bannon! We are proud of your achievements and your disciplined mindset, which will continue to serve you well as you endeavor toward becoming a well-rounded leader in Utah’s commercial electrical industry!
