WECA Spotlight: David Khavrenko, Northern California Low-Voltage Apprenticeship Valedictorian

For David Khavrenko, graduating as valedictorian of WECA’s Northern California Low-Voltage Technician program is a proud accomplishment and a reminder of how far he has come.

Throughout his time at WECA, David balanced classroom learning with hands-on experience at Alessandro Electric Inc., where he continues to develop his skills in the low-voltage industry. Both experiences have played an important role in preparing him for his career and helping him grow more confident in his work.

David says his success comes down to the habits he has built along the way.

“I believe my success comes from consistency, discipline, and a genuine willingness to learn.”

Working at Alessandro Electric Inc. has allowed David to put his classroom lessons into practice on real-world projects. From troubleshooting problems to working alongside experienced professionals, he has learned the importance of teamwork, communication, and taking pride in the quality of his work.

His education at WECA has also given him a better understanding of the principles behind his work, including the importance of safety, accuracy, and attention to detail. For David, learning doesn't stop when class ends. Every project is another opportunity to gain experience and improve his skills.

When asked what advice he would give to other WECA students, David encouraged them to stay curious and make the most of their time in the program.

“My advice is to take advantage of every opportunity to learn. Do not be afraid to ask questions, admit when you do not know something, or learn from mistakes.”

Now that he has graduated, David plans to continue growing as a low-voltage technician, gain more experience, and take on greater responsibilities. He sees his graduation as the next step in a career that will continue to challenge him and give him opportunities to learn.

“I see graduation not as the end of learning, but as the beginning of the next chapter in my career.”

David also recognizes the people who helped him reach this milestone. He thanks WECA and his instructors for their guidance, along with Alessandro Electric Inc., his supervisors, and

coworkers for sharing their knowledge and giving him opportunities to grow. He also expresses his appreciation for his family and everyone who has supported him along the way.

Congratulations to David Khavrenko on this outstanding achievement! WECA is proud to celebrate his success as Northern California Low-Voltage Apprenticeship Valedictorian and wishes him the best as he continues building his career
