WECA Arizona Women Commercial Electrical Apprentices Featured in Move Over Bob's Inaugural Issue
Plus, See Snaps from WECA Arizona's Attendance at Move Over Bob's Magazine Launch Party

This week several members of the WECA Arizona community attended a launch party celebrating the publishing of Move Over Bob's inaugural magazine issue. Move Over Bob is an initiative geared toward encouraging women to pursue skilled trades careers by showing women that careers in the trades are a narrative issue rather than an availability issue. One of the ways that Move Over Bob hopes to accomplish this is by creating publications and spotlights where women can see other women crafting rewarding skilled trades careers. WECA apprentices and employees of our Arizona Member Contractor Corbins, including Corbins Director of Workforce Development Matt Apodaca (who also serves on the WECA Apprenticeship Training Trust Board of Trustees), and Heath Anderson (WECA Arizona's Outreach and Workforce Development Specialist), all attended the launch event.
WECA's close working relationship with Move Over Bob netted several of our own women apprentices, such as Janet and Lisette Amaya, and Solei Donahue, all of Corbins, the opportunity to appear in Move Over Bob's first issue. Kailynn, another Corbins employee, attended the event to show support as well.
Heath says, "I am deeply proud to have been in some small way a help and grateful to also have a space in this first issue as a nod to Move Over Bob. We encourage you to learn about Move Over Bob, their magazine, and how you may help inspire more women to take up our work."
