Our recent open house mixer for the electrical industry at WECA's Arizona HQ in Phoenix was a resounding success! Attendees had the opportunity to tour our state-of-the-art training facility, learn about our hands-on programs for apprentices and journeymen, and engage with industry professionals. The event not only showcased our commitment to high-tech, competency-based electrical apprenticeship training, but also sparked enthusiasm among prospective members and partners. We were thrilled by the turnout and the positive feedback, reinforcing our mission to advance skills, safety, and professionalism in the electrical trades.
Some attendees included WECA Board of Directors members, WECA staff, prospective electrical contractor and industry partner members, Arizona member contractors, industry training affiliate Grand Canyon University, city electrical inspectors, Arizona Registrar of Contractors representatives Tom Cole and Julie Pickerill, and prospective apprentice applicants.
Bob Bartlett, our Arizona Regional Manager who oversees Arizona business development, outreach, and operations, said that "the energy was electric, and we were thrilled to welcome so many new faces to our community because they got a firsthand look at how we train the next generation of apprentices and journeymen!"
