WECA's Outreach Team is out in full force lately!
On Oct. 1, we joined forces with WECA Member Contractor Larger Electric at Immanuel High School's college and career fair in Reedley, CA, to speak with 600 students about WECA's Apprenticeship programs.
Then, on Oct. 2, we attended Sacramento Trades Day at Cal Expo, where we spoke with 2,500 students about WECA apprenticeship and the electrical trade. We were happy to be joined by WECA Member Contractors K S Telecom, Royal Electric, and Mark III Construction at this event.
The next week, WECA attended the Placer County Consortium College and Career Fair to speak about WECA, the benefits of apprenticeship, and to answer questions from parents and students before playing fun trivia games to earn swag. Down south, WECA's Membership Manager Jeff Van de Moere held a small tour and Q&A session for Home Builder Institute students at WECA's San Diego training facility.
It's always fun to team up with our Member Contractors for workforce development efforts in our communities, and we're already looking forward to the next event!
