WECA Performs Outreach at 2026 Spring College and Career Fair at Valley High School, Elk Grove, CA

WECA Curriculum Developers Serve as Electrical Judges for Construction Industry Education Foundation's SoCal Design Build Competition in Huntington Beach, CA











On April 23rd, WECA's Workforce Development Supervisor Ricky Nguyen, Lead Instructor and Lab Manager Jimmie Slemp, and ET/CE Program Manager Ana Lopez attended the 2026 Spring College and Career Fair at Valley High School in Elk Grove, CA, where they educated students and parents in attendance about WECA's Apprenticeship programs and Electrician Trainee program. Attendees enjoyed the wheel and Jimmie's lab demo, and Ricky, Jimmie, and Ana enjoyed attending the fair.

Earlier this month, WECA's Apprenticeship Curriculum Developer Neil Pesarillo and ET/CE Curriculum Specialist Edward Ruiz attended the Construction Industry Education Foundation's SoCal Design Build Competition in Huntington Beach, CA. At the event, Neil and Edward acted as electrical judges for the High School Building Competition, where they judged the electrical projects for over 40 high schools.
