WECA has recently completed updates to our Low Voltage labs at our Rancho Cordova and San Diego training facilities! We pride ourselves on accomplishing frequent upgrades to our training facilities to meet the evolving needs of our apprentices, students, and member contractors, and we’re excited to share this news with you today.
Curriculum Development Project Lead and Low Voltage Instructor Tom Thompson says the labs contain “completely redesigned lessons and labs focusing on Access Control Systems, Intrusion Systems, CCTV Systems, and Audio Theory. In San Diego, there’s also new, more modern classroom and lab space with more than 1000 square feet dedicated to Low Voltage apprenticeship!” Our Rancho Cordova low voltage labs have expanded their footprints into additional square footage, as well.
We recently introduced the WECA community to our newest low voltage instructor, Neil Pesarillo. He’s been able to experience lab teaching time in both of the updated facilities and reports that “Each student has their own work station, and I’ve already received a lot of positive feedback from students and visitors about the lab design and larger space. The students are excited to work with all of the new equipment each lab contains, and the instructors have already noticed improved motivation in classes.”
