Rhoderic Tayaba, 2022 NorCal Low Voltage Salutatorian2022 Northern California Low Voltage Salutatorian Rhoderic Tayaba says that if you want to be the best in your field and have state-of-the-art training and education, WECA is where you want to be.

“The opportunity with WECA is there,” says Rhoderic. “I had a strong desire to be successful in my career. I wanted to be the best in my field and WECA encouraged me to do it by providing all the tools I needed to be successful, such as a positive class environment and encouraging instructors, classmates, and coworkers. The [Low Voltage Apprenticeship] program was an incredible program that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to go into my field because it provided classroom learning with real-life field experience.”

Rhoderic – who works for WECA Member Contractor Bergelectric – says that WECA prepared him for his career by enabling him to take his classroom learning out into the field.

“The instructors have such vast knowledge of my industry and their sharing that knowledge was an essential part of becoming successful in my current position. My classmates also shared all their past experiences as we worked in labs together and became a very proficient team learning from each other in a positive environment,” says Rhoderic.

Presently, Rhoderic plans to start working as a journeyman and advance in the industry with the knowledge he gained at WECA. He also plans to continue his education in the field and mentor and inspire others to help them in their career advancement.

In addition to WECA and his employer Bergelectric, Rhoderic credits his wife Mary for “her support and tireless effort to support me going through this program.”

Congratulations, Rhoderic! We’re glad you chose WECA for your low voltage industry education, and appreciate the accolades. Best of luck with your future endeavors
